Ron Paul: The Fed Is Stealing the People’s Money

Sign the Ron Paul 2012 Petition at www.RonPaul2012.net Please like, share, subscribe & comment! http 04/04/2011 Last week I was both surprised and pleased when the Supreme Court upheld lower court decisions requiring the Federal Reserve Bank to comply with requests for information made by Bloomberg under the Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”). Bloomberg simply wanted to know who received loans from the Fed’s discount window in the aftermath of the 2008 financial market crisis, and how much each entity received. Surely this is basic information that should be available to every American taxpayer. But the Fed fought tooth and nail all the way to the Supreme Court to preserve their privileged secrecy. However, transparency and openness won the day. There are some 29000 pages to decipher, but a few points stand out initially. The Fed lent huge sums of our money to foreign banks. This in itself was not surprising, but the actual amount is staggering! In one week at the height of the crisis, about 70% of the money doled out went to foreign banks. We were told that bailing out banks was going to stave off a massive depression. Depression for whom? We now know that the Fed’s bailout had nothing to do with helping the American people, who have gotten their depression anyway with continued job losses and foreclosures. But now we learn that a good deal of the money did not even help American banks! In light of recent world events, perhaps the most staggering revelation is that

These is What National Youth Leadership Forum is All About

Young minds are like surging waves which if properly directed can render any pasture green.  Energy, enthusiasm and excitement always accompany the youths; they eagerly jump to new challenges and put their mind, body and soul in it.  Such tremendous potential needs to be properly channelised.

National Youth Leadership forum founded in 1992 in USA is working in this direction.  National Youth Leadership forum, a non-profit organization working in collaboration with Envision, EMI of USA, nurtures the young minds enabling them to become better future professionals.  Their programs are designed for high school and university students.  Held in nine different cities across the country the programs are offered in national security, law and medicine.  These programs are very popular among the student community and till date, about 100,000 students have successfully participated in it.

GPA of 3.7 on a scale of 4 is a must for any student who is desirous to attend the program.  If one is unable to meet these criteria then one has to provide a letter of recommendation from an academic source such as a teacher and from a supervisor who is in charge of extracurricular activities. Course expenditure may exceed 00, which excludes other expenditures such as transportation cost and other additional cost.  The tuition fees collected from the students are used to fund the programs and NYLF also provide scholarships to needy and meritorious students.

The National Youth Leadership forum has a strong alumni network wherein the alumni keep themselves abreast of the latest happenings in the NYLF.  The online community is comprised of past, present and future candidates.   In 2002, the members of the online community went on to form a message board and they also have IRC (Internet relay chat) server. The NYLF staff now maintains the message board whereas the IRC server is taken care by the alumni community.

Programs in national security, law and defense by National Youth Leadership forum exposes the eager young minds to the new world where they get an opportunity to interact with the experts, which help them to understand the world in a much better manner.

The program on law is held in Washington D.C.  The students get an opportunity to visit the local courts, the federal courts and also the Supreme Court.  The legal experts help the participants to understand the intricacies of law in an easy and effective way.

The program in medicine is held at well-known medical centers such as San Francisco, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. Houston-Galveston and Phoenix.  Here the distinguished medical experts from international community provide an insight into the intricacies of the medicine and help them to understand the subject to their utmost satisfaction.

How the nation’s sovereignty is protected and how to deal with external threats?  This puzzles the participants.  However, when they get an opportunity to visit the country’s nerve centre, where important decisions are taken then most of their doubts are taken care of.  The top brass of the government explains the participants about the national security program.  Indeed, the efforts taken by National Youth Leadership forum are highly commendable.

A Visit to Constitution Hill
The Constitution
On the anniversary of 9-11, it seemed somehow apt to be going on a mini-photowalk to Constitution Hill, in Johannesburg. Many thanks to Faarooq Mangera for the excellent opportunity.

"The Constitutional Court of South Africa is Johannesburg’s newest historical landmark and a unique architectural symbol of South Africa’s democracy. On this site, once the Old Fort Prison Complex, commonly known as Number Four, political prisoners and common criminals awaited trial and sat out their jail sentences. Today, the elegant Constitutional Court presides over this once-reviled place and stands as a proud monument to South Africa’s hard-earned freedom. "

The National Constitution Center, at 525 Arch Street in Independence Mall, an independent, non-partisan, and non-profit organization dedicated to increasing public understanding of, and appreciation for, the Constitution, its history, and its contemporary relevance, through an interactive, interpretive facility. Created by the the Constitution Heritage Act in 1988, the museum opened on July 4, 2004, and was designed by American architect Henry N. Cobb and Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, with museum design firm Ralph Appelbaum Associates.

A visit to the National Constitution Center begins with a live, multimedia, theatre presentation called Freedom Rising. The presentation features a live actor and multimedia elements explaining the history of the Constitution, and how the definition of "we the people" has expanded over time.

The main exhibit hall is circular and presents three concentric rings of exhibts: the outermost a chronology of Constitutional history featuring artifacts and original documents, the second ring of interactive exhibits based on the preamble to the Constitution, and the inner ring featuring "talk backs" and ways to participate in the Constitutional dialogue.

Visitors can take the presidential oath of office, decide a supreme court case, vote for their favorite president, and view biographies of important figures in our history.

One interactive exhibit asks the visitor simple questions in order to determine if he or she would have had the right to vote during a particular historical period. Another set of stations presents divisive issues such as intelligent design or the death penalty and asks visitors to write short opinions on Post-It notes which are stuck on the wall.

A visit ends with Signers’ Hall, a room featuring life-sized, cast bronze sculptures of the 39 signers of the Constitution and the three dissenters. Visitors can wander among the statues, taking photographs with famous signers like George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, James Madison, and others. It is the only area in the museum that allows photography.

A Personal Constitution

GREG DOMECQ

MY PERSONAL CONSTITUTION

FEBRUARY 16, 1993

I live my life striving for perfection in every way. Although I know “perfection” is an unattainable goal, the pursuit of such heights is deserving of merit. While chasing this allusive dream; I must learn to be patient with myself, learn from my mistakes, and persist. It is through my self tolerance that I will learn to value others and it is through my persistence that my dreams will become realities.  It is through the education I receive in this process that my life will take on its proper perspective.

In the pursuit of all my goals, I will not lose sight of God and His relationship with me. It is important to communicate with God on a daily basis. I believe in a God who expects perfection but understands shortcomings. My perception of God is the perfect model of how I should strive to live my life.

There are five specific areas that have developed into my priorities. These priorities are my family, my health and self-worth, professional success, personal development, and financial security. It is through the interactions of these five agendas that I will reach the top of the pyramid – Inner-Peace.

I want to be a great husband and father. In order to have successful interpersonal relationships I must be able to at times put my own needs aside. Relationships must be built on honesty, patience, and the real skill of listening to what someone else has to say.  I believe that it is important to catch individuals doing something right and acknowledge it. As in all facets of success, consistency over time is the thread that ties the family together.

Before I can love another, I must first feel good about myself.  I will lead a healthy, active, and productive life. I know that if I feel good about my health and appearance, I will be a better husband, a more productive worker, and a better person.

Professional success is an important part of my life. The best way to be successful is to look for opportunities to do things that average people would not do. It is important for me to be successful, to earn respect of colleagues as a leader, and help those associated with me to reach their own personal goals.

Learning should be a life-long skill. A man who has knowledge on a broad range of topics is interesting and fun to be around. People who are learners are more apt to be successful. By constantly being open to learning, one can walk with men and keep his virtue and walk with Kings without losing his common touch. It is important to know that one may always learn from another.

I recognize that money is a tangible reward for professional success. It is important that finances will not stop me from leading the type of life that I want to live. In order for this to be a reality, I must constantly be on top of a financial plan. That plan must have attainable goals that are flexible to allow for the changing situations that one may expect life to bring.

The cliché’ – The Greatest Calamity of Life Is Not To Have Failed, But To Have Failed To Try – should permeate every aspect of this constitution. For it is in striving to achieve one’s goals to the best of his ability that one nay achieve inner-peace.

A legitimate Scientology horse-related religious ceremony was taking place and we attended just to illegally disrupt it. This violated their freedom of religion AND freedom to assemble. The Scientologists were planning to sacrifice the horse and read it’s entrails. You can see the lady on the horse already wearing the stainproof ceremonial dress. We were tipped off by a spy inside Scientology who told us about this IAS horse related event so thanks for making this possible mystery person! Protester AnonOrange and I take two entire minutes to clear the street (L. Ron Hubbard Way) of Scientologists. This is compared with an internal cult video of how brave they are.
