everyone booed him last year….now listen to the cheers! I think America is finally gaining sense!
Come on USA….we have been voting for and putting Chronis on Capital Hill for too long! Same Chronis who speak for corporations rather than “we the people.” Let’s make a difference and put a Genuine politicians in office! A Constitutionalist – Ron Paul 2012!!!
… Now, to understand Paul’s policy is to heed the advice passed down to us by the strongest leaders in our nation’s history. The founding fathers warned us against entangling alliances and advised us to stay out of the affairs of other nations. We were encouraged to make friends with them and spread our ideology by example. For that reason, Ben Franklin was incredibly important to early America. Fast forward to Dwight Eisenhower who warned us about the military-industrial complex.
.. now in response to your assessment of Paul’s foreign policy, I think the state of the nation is evidence which lends itself to his belief. While people are arguing over the role of unions in relation to the downturn in the economy, the people of our country seem ignore the fact that the single greatest expense we incur is funding our military operations to the tune of about $1.5 tril/yr. We are in over 130 countries and it appears as though our military has grown to the point of no return…
@twk373 Paul was not hired for his advice on foreign policy. He was hired for his expertise on economic matters. Reagan ran on an extremely conservative platform and was not exactly fond of Bush. However, Bush was formerly director of CIA and Council on Foreign Relations director and the RNC pressured Reagan to bring Bush on as his running mate. Bush, a man with extremely strong connections, may have been the most influential VP in American history…
And how much did Reagan listen to Paul? The USSR collapsed merely two decades ago. And look at the PCR, still going strong. Obviously socialism cannot persistent indefinitely, but it can go on for a really long time, especially if some freedom is permitted, and especially if they can get away with acquiring new resources via conquest. Yes, I agree with him on nation building and all the other stuff. But that’s beside the point.
@twk373 Ron Paul worked for Reagan – I think he has a pretty good understanding of what went on at that time. The USSR would have eventually collapsed through social unrest and the poor economic consequences that stem from communism. You’re claim is also incorrect for this reason: Paul has often referred to the last 100 years – his issue begins with Woodrow Wilson’s progressive takeover of the government. Beyond Cold War policies, Paul criticizes nation-building abroad.
When you steal actual wealth (i.e., by conquering other nations, as the USSR was busy doing) you don’t need to print money. Of course the USSR would have collapsed eventually. But without any US intervention, it would still be going strong even today, and most of the world would be under the boot of Communism.
@twk373 Except for the fact that the USSR operated the Gosbank which printed up money out of thin air to continually pay for their operations and they went broke because of it. We had nothing to do with it and they killed themselves with debt. We are about to be the next USSR because we learned nothing from this or previous examples.
When Ron Paul wails about the last 60 years of US interventionism, he fails to understand that it was all directly interconnected with the Cold War. That’s why Paul will, unfortunately, always remain on the fringe. The USSR would not have collapsed had they been able to continually conquer new territory.
All Ron Paul supporters out there need to join the local Republican party and vote in the primary!!!! We can’t succeed if we don’t get the nomination. JOIN THE REVOLUTION!!!!!!
RP2012! America’s Last Chance to SAVE the REPUBLIC, whether one is a minarchist, Murray Rothbardian-AnarchoCapitalist, PaleoConservative, Constitutionalist, or TRULY well-meaning liberal, THE ONLY CHANCE we have in returning America to ANYTHING resembling a Constitutional REPUBLIC, where we have FREEDOMS 2even get2a pt. of discussing the issues, IS IF Ron Paul gets elected POTUS. Though at the end of the day, it’ll still be moot, unless there’s a lasting intellectual & philosophical awakening.
This is proof positive Fox News has systematically over the years engaged in libel and slander against Dr. Ron Paul, and to a greater extent, Ron Paul’s millions of supporters who have spent their individual hard earned money and time, undermining our efforts at every turn of success.
I believe the Ron Paul supporters have a case for a class action law suit against FOX News as well. This is not just a case about pride, but also a case about money FOX news cost us and owes us reimbursement.
No name badge around the announcers neck like on FoxNews’ report. Crazy eruption of cheers from Paul supporters and not the boos and jeers from Romney reporters. FOX NEWS telling us how to think about Ron Paul using last years footage. I hope Fox gets lots of attention for their “mistake”
