Question by Nancy Pelosi 2016: How many countries use a Constitution written centuries ago without updating into new ones?
The more I think about it, the more it seems that the gridlock in government is due to the system itself.
We need a new and more modern Constitution, with modern values.

You mean to tell me liberty is too old fashioned and outdated?
I couldn’t tell at first, just from your name but after reading this, I’ve concluded that you must be trolling. There’s just no other explanation.

Nobody, that is why America is unique and great. Why mess with success? It is amendable, and that function can be used if there are enough votes, and has been many times.

Our constitution has been updated numerous times. That’s what the amendments are.

Written by a bunch of left wing fanatics? I think not. The founding fathers put the amendment process into place. It was put there to prevent the extremists from either side from getting changes implemented that are not in the best interest of all.

France and Britain have more amendments than the US but they and the US have been the models for the last 200 years.
I hope you are joking about Pelosi. If not you got rocks in your head.

The Constitution has been around since 1787 for the simple reason is that it works. While we have had one republic, France has had five (with a lot of bloodshed to go with it).
And if you had a basic idea of the Constitution, you would know that it can and has be amended. There are twenty-seven amendments to the Constitution, the 27th being ratified in 1992.
The United States Constitution is the best national constitution; it has lasted longer than any other because it works. It would help if people actually read the Constitution. That is something you should have learned in high school government class.
