News footage from 2007 mixed with other video that documents the origin of the modern day Tea Party movement and those responsible for it. It was started in 2007 from the grassroots by Ron Paul supporters for his 2008 Presidential Campaign. After gaining momentum it was co-opted by certain Republicans with help from Fox News and other corporate entities. It’s no longer the spontaneous decentralized movement that it once was though Ron Paul’s message of limited government and a return to the Constitution is still at it’s core.

@DailyBrat Now we have a word to discribe the “Palin TPers” : TEAOCON – Google it. Youtube won’t let me link.

@pigeonpsycho Amen to that brother! I’m just providing more ammo for the video against these damned neo-conservatives that hijacked the tea party. People need to know that Front Runner Ron Paul’s Tea Party is day and night different from the Neocon’s fake “Tea Party” and that it’s been around for a long time, anmd we can prove it.

@pigeonpsycho Hey, lets not forget the fucking neo-conservative big government and endless wars crowd. They are both equally responsible for where the country is at right now.

This is actually incorrect. We were holding national tea party events for Ron Paul back in 1987 when Dr Paul ran for president on the Libertarian Party ticket. I was there at the waters edge with my sign, and made the evening news locally. Wish I could find the copy of the news report I saved on VHS tape. So, the Ron Paul Tea Party actually began a decade before 2007.

@redsolardragon1320 hi, i dont think it was a waste of time. i felt they asked some really good questions and grilled them hard. only next time they shouldnt have a moderator from the mainstream media handling the questions after theyre asked.

ron paul supporters of the internet. i have a message for you. you must be able to support the revolution in a loving compassionate manner. the negativity towards people who are unawake must cease. you cannot wake people up they must do it on their own. show patience and compassion as they as their questions. and for the comments against RP they don’t matter anyways.

@BARANDONM I agree with you but it is still a widely debated topic even with the proof. The Palin TPers say that the 07 TP had nothing to do with the more recent movement which I disagree with but none-the-less many people have that opinion.

@BARANDONM Speaking of subverting movements- How many times in the last decade have you seen the words “revolution” used in adverts. The Chevy Revolution, The Low-Carb Revolution…. Gatorade, Nike, M&M- Tons of em. Google revolution and those companies to see the ads. Co-opting the language.

I was part of the Ron Paul $6 million Tea Party Day. It’s sad that people WERE NOT PAYING ATTENTION THEN—or Ron Paul would have been elected!!! George W had lulled them so deeply asleep that they couldn’t tell LIBERTY from a cow patty!!!

just saw what little footage of the tea party debate is on youtube, really sad i must say, its been overrun with mainstream stupidity, i think it was a waste of time. and i hope that the tea party soon realizes that they are being screwed by the establishment, ron paul is the only choice if you want to be free…….period

@DailyBrat ROFLMAO Watch the video! There’s the proof. Even the Tea Party events that took off in 09 were started by libertarians. The Neocons who came later came precisely because they were trying to derail a grass roots movement. It’s the same thing with Bachmann and to a much larger extent Perry. They are trying to subvert a movement by co opting the talking points. Like they say in Texas, all hat, no cattle.

ron paul is the man that is bringing life back into this dying cunt try. he is the tea party movement. he is what the “Boston tea party” represents. if our forefathers came back to life they would be rolling in their graves, because of what has happened to our liberty in this country . RP 2011

@DailyBrat
The whole argument is ridiculous. The tea party movement is not an organization or a political party. It’s simply a name chosen by people who what to preserve our founding principles. It started in 1773. If you want to use the term “tea party” only for people who worship Ron Paul, go right ahead. It won’t change how anybody feels. If we want to associate ourselves with a historical event that happened long before Ron Paul was even born, we will do so.

@DarkCode Yes “that’s not peace” as I said it would cause mutually assured destruction. Look up the term. Your whole premise is not based on reality and is terribly flawed. It’s just an opinion that you came to without knowing the facts of how things actually work. Why do you think a small area like Israel has not been overrun by it’s neighbors? Because they have nuclear weapons!!
DailyBrat
September 26, 2011 at 7:57 am
@qpwillie That’s your opinion. How can you ever prove based on fact when it officially started? Those that support Ron Paul believe it started in 2007 and those that don’t support him believe it started later. It’s a widely debated topic but I’d love to hear you prove your opinion.

The reenactments of the Boston tea party that day have nothing to do with the tea party movement that developed more than a year later.

@DarkCode You’re insane, neither of all these countries have a navy that is capable of that. Also tell me the last time Iran, North Korea and China invaded someone and tell me the reasons why they should invade. China and the USA is dependent on each other for their economy. China needs a strong army because it needs to keep the peace internally.
