Question by Serhat Tas: Reasons why Wikileaks is not a threat to national security?
I’m on my high school debate team and we have to write a case on Wikileaks being a threat to national security. I am writing a con case for this and I need some help coming up with arguments saying why Wikileaks is not a threat to US national security. Thanks!

-Because most of the “leaks” are SO old by now, they’ve sealed Themselves over Time. So They no longer have any Relevance to the Present Day. 🙂

President Obama’s pledge to have the most transparent administration in history has come true.

Because it never leaks “real” information. It’s just links to information we already know about, so it’s not legally a threat. Now if they came out with UFOs and aliens then they’d have security all over their ass’s.
OH YEA!

All they are doing is repeating what is the truth. What is being told, and in e-mails. Their not making anything up. Maybe if our government wasn’t doing things underhanded, or just being honest, they(our gov’t) wouldn’t worry about what Wiki-leaks is repeating.

Wikileaks isn’t a security threat. The fact that joe-random soldier can literally waltz through security with 1000s of pages of classified documents IS a security threat.
After all, if there were no classified documents, what would Wikileaks be publishing?

Better to have a Leak now and fix the hole than have leak when a critical event in history happens..
Have you noticed that the U.S. hires convicted hackers, for consulting.
