In the follow-up to his ground-breaking documentary ‘American Drug War,’ filmmaker Kevin Booth traces the fight against Federal drug regulation in the State of California. A public majority has spoken and said yes to states rights, allowing for the use of medicinal marijuana and opening up a new front in controversial medicinal ‘dispensaries.’ While users herald the freedom of legally-licensed “weed,” powerful forces at the DEA and law enforcement haven’t given up their federal enforcement power yet. Many dispensaries have been raided, targeting their distribution of marijuana and challenging their authority to rise into legitimate business. In the backdrop of this public dispute is the Dark Alliance– where governments handle the volume of drug trafficking and work with cartels and drug dealers to manage the drug flow. Just like the prohibition of alcohol, drugs have thrived on their illicit appeal, and doomed millions of non-violent offenders to incarceration and prosecution. Now, those swearing by the healing power of medicinal marijuana as well as those who simply refuse to be outlawed by a hypocritical rogue government are daring to stand up and declare that the violence, corruption and uncontrolled flow of drugs is due to the prohibition of the substance, not the substance itself. Big Pharma has put millions of non-“drug” users on hallucinogenic prescription drugs and instituted new forms of addiction and dependency, challenging our outdated notions that is only …

@mrkrinkle72 K-2? Or JWH-018 and similar variations of that chemical? Its actually called Potpourri like weed is to Tetrahydacannabinol. I buy it every week. Its addicting. But it clearly states on the package that it’s not meant for human consumption. By as i was saying. The only real reason cannabis isn’t legal is because they think it doesn’t meet medical standards. And they also said they are worried about families, and the only harmful case they can bring is stoned drivers get in accidents.

@onder1188 No, you said ‘weed is legal’ and possessing and smoking 5 grams is legal. ‘Smoking’ weed is legal here in Canada too, just not possession. In the Netherlands, there’s a difference between Not enforcing something and making it legal. Cultivation and possession of Cannabis in the Netherlands is illegal, small amounts of possession are decriminalized I believe. Weed is illegal everywhere, relax and just get baked kid.

If America really wanted to win a “war on drugs” the right place to start would be legalizing marijuana…therefore separating it from the more detrimental, and even fatal drugs. Funny how people fail to realize alcohol is a drug too….

@p51mustang24 Potency > Laws, if that makes sense. You won’t catch me my entire life going to Massachusetts to smoke weed. All you need in California is a Prop 215 card. Go home and smoke it. No problems.

@StanwoodSpartans Don’t go to Cali to smoke weed, Massachusetts has the most lenient laws in the whole US. Much much smaller cannabis community, but it’s as almost legal.

i thought obama hasnt done shit about medical marijuana yet ? but really thats up to congress, as well as the voters. prop 19 was brought up early by congress on purpose i believe… due to the uneducation of alot of ppl from cali. and i heard the question on the ballot was very wacky sounding (dont know the exact words, would like to though) at the time our area just voted on whether the sheriff can be a felon or not..

So, if the AMA doesn’t know what causes Migraines, then how can I trust their medicine? I cannot, in any way, take a pharmaceutical drug for my disease or any future illness, no matter what I come down with. Nature provides “true medicine”. Man provides poisonous, toxic, pharmaceutical drugs and virus filled, poisonous vaccines that are bad for your health and your immune system. It’s time to legalize Marijuana for everyone, because it’s very healthy and can prevent disease. Legalize now!!!

Second, my primary doctor doesn’t realize that the side effects from Maxalt, which are: dizziness, fatigue, pain or pressure in the chest or throat, dry mouth, nausea, headache, warm/cold sensations, palpitations, diarrhea, vomiting, tremors, difficulty breathing, flushing, hot flashes, and possible death, would definitely make it quite difficult to go back to work. He’s either crazy, or totally ignorant of Migraines and Migraine Auras. The AMA doesn’t know what causes incurable Migraines.
