Let me correct myself, Darwinism works perfectly for small changes inside of a species, but not a change from species to species. And that cannot be shown to be true, in fact, there is no transitional species in the fossil record.

Alan Keyes would not vote to outlaw anti-religious speech, so your point is moot. I admit, I hate liberals, but it has everything to do with the constitution. Darwinism is also a religion, because it is something that has not been, and cannot be shown to be true. You can argue all you want about that point, but it will also be moot, because even the most intelligent Darwinist, cannot exclude the existence of a God, or higher intelligence, and that is a fact. 🙂

And what if the people of a state vote to outlaw anti-religious speech?
That would be a religious issue, but if the people acted against the Freedom of Speech in the First Amendment, their vote would be rightfully struck down by the Supreme Court.
So don’t bullshit us, Alan. You just hate liberals. It has nothing to do with the Constitution.

The 14th Amendment’s incorporation doctrine ensures that the Bill of Rights apply not just to the federal gov’t but also to the individual states. Thus no state can make a law that violates the establishment clause of the First Amendment.
What do you mean by “mall”? A capitol mall, e.g., which is a public square? Or a shopping mall?

the 10th amendment is clear that what the feds can’t do they can.
so long as the state doesn’t do anything in contradiction to the constitution it is fine.
there is nothing wrong with putting a christmas tree up in mall if the state gives the go ahead.

Jefferson was asked to clarify to the Danbury Baptists what the Establishment Clause (which he wrote) actually meant. His “wall of separation” comment was in response to that request.
Jefferson was extremely tolerant of all religious beliefs, and he understood the importance of having people of faith participate in government. But he realized how important it is, for both church and state, to make sure that civil authority and ecclesiastic authority are kept separate and distinct.

@ClumsyRoot the line of church and state by jefferson was misinterpreted by others.
it was in response to a letter the baptist church in which they wrote “no man ought to suffer in name, person, or effects on account of his religious opinions”
thus his stating “I contemplate with sovereign reverence” is him regretting that it ppl had come down to bashing other religions and saying they have no say in government.

Keyes can’t become president. He is a Catholic. America is an Anti-Catholic country. If he was elected, the raving mad protestants would shoot him in the head before he could even be sworn in. Remember, Keyes is descended from slaves unlike Obama and all the racism America could muster would come out full force against him.

There is a higher authority that the states Keyes: the people. And the Fourteenth Amendment states quite clearly that “No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States.” That includes people who are NOT Christians and their right of freedom to worship as they choose. Creating a state religion or endorsing one would abridge their rights, which is illegal. Nice try, but next time read the WHOLE Constitution first.

Wasn’t life better when the laws were SIMPLE to understand? The UNLAWFUL actions of Federal government have really confused so many people who simply can’t fathom that the Fed CONSTANTLY acts unlawfully and unconstitutionally.
