إقرأ كتاب: عمرو خالد في ميزان الشريعة I start by the name of Allah, and ask Him to endow upon us the clear understanding of alsunna of the Prophet. A man named ^Amr Khalid, who is an Egyptian Accountant that suddenly became a big fan for many people for claiming to be a so-called modern “scholar” or caller to Islamic knowledge. He uses a certain way to attract students from women and men, but has ignorance built up due to reading un-authentic books and making his own opinions in the religion.. He has many other beliefs that are not from a Qur’an or Sunnah. The question is not how this man became to that position or why?. The issue is with his false and abhorrent sayings that no two Muslims can accept or to believe in!! Among the deviant sayings of Amr Khaled are: -He claims that people can have any religion or belief that want. (Freedom of beliefs) -By using his weak and ill slang language he attributes to Allah attributes of the creations. -He claims that Allah “awaits” at nights for the repentance of the sinful Muslim. -He claims that Satan (Shaytan, the devil) did not commit kufur!!! He has many other beliefs that are not from a Qur’an or Sunnah. We ask Allah to protect us and you from such beliefs, and to guide us always to the true path of Ahlus-Sunnah. Hence: Beware of the teachings of Amr Khaled, and warn from them. Allah knows best www.alsunna.org .

Islam and Christianity in Jamaica Episodes 1 and 2 (Full HQ) Religious Hardtalk

FULL VERSION WITH THE SECOND EPISODE ! Three former Jamaican Fundamentalist Christians tell their stories about how they entered Islam and how it has changed their lives. The Enslaved Muslims from West Africa Recent scholarship on the Atlantic slave trade has revealed that the total number of Enslaved Africans brought to the Americas is likely to be more than twenty million. Slyviane A. Diouf, writing on the Muslim slaves in the Americas, conclusively asserts: “Therefore, if counted as a whole, on a religious basis rather on an ethnic one the Muslims were probably more numerous in the Americas than any other group among the arriving Africans”. In Jamaica from 1655 to 1807, Philip Curtin in his work on slave census, proposes 423900 Africans from Muslim dominated areas, representing 56.8 percent of the arrivals. Islam had cut across ethnic lines, social classes and state boundaries in West Africa— Senegal, Gambia, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Mali, Benin, Ghana, and Nigeria, Libya Egypt (incorporating Madinka, Fula, Susu, Ashanti, Hausa and other nations) from as early as the tenth and eleventh centuries, ie long before the slave trade. Islam in these kingdoms was first diffused by the migration of Muslim merchants, teachers, and agricultural settlers. The Muslims sometimes formed peaceful minorities in non-Muslim societies such as the Ashanti Empire. In cases such as Kano, Katsina, Takrur and Bornu the local chiefs accepted Islam as early as the tenth and eleventh centuries.

Jay Sekulow emphasize on Religious Freedom and Constitutional Rights

There is evidence that the following of a religion even in the historical era differentiates people and country from one another. We, as humans, adhere to specific sets of rules and guidelines formed by the prophets of a religion. People offer prayers to align their deeds for a good cause. The citizens of every nation are imbued with the constitutional right to speak and preach their religion without any restriction and discrimination. One humble leader, who dedicated all his efforts in defending such rights is Jay Sekulow.

On September 11, 2001, hundreds of Americans & Non-Americans lost their lives and or the lives of their loved ones in a heinous act of terrorism that shattered The United States of America. According to the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) and Mr. Sekulow, this day will also be known as a time when every American stood together, unified and resilient for their losses. Thousands of people gather every year at Ground Zero to offer prayers of peace and solace for the souls of their loved ones.

Jay Sekulow, in respect to constitutional freedom and religious liberty, has argued several cases and the most important was that of the school students who wanted to have a Bible club in their school. In The Supreme Court, he handled and defended the case resulting in successful grant of permission to form a club. Mr. Sekulow and ACLJ were well aware of the issues related to religious freedom in Europe that can also adversely affect the United States to some extent. To protect and safeguard the interest of the people, they established their office in France as the European Court of Human Rights in order to resolve the cases of people in Europe immediately.

Jay Sekulow knows that a way to thrust aside the differences and discrimination prevailing in this society is by educating people about their constitutional rights and freedom. In realm of this awareness, Mr. Sekulow is available a presenter in a weekly radio show and accepts guests’ requests from various TV programs. Jay Sekulow is Chief Counsel of the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), one of the most prestigious law firms in the country.

He is an accomplished Supreme Court advocate, renowned expert on religious liberty, and a respected broadcaster. Jay Sekulow is an attorney with a passion for protecting religious liberty – freedom – democracy.

    “MANIFESTO FOR RELIGIOUS FREEDOM”

BY JEAN BRASEL,

President, Freedom of Religion For Everyone Everywhere (F.R.E.E.)

http://www.communicate-now.com/free

In these times of worldwide violence and intolerance, it is time that we the decent loving tolerant people of the world all take a stand for Peace and Unity and Religious Tolerance.

At the bottom of all conflicts, there is always some underlying force which fosters hatred and enmity – such people doing this for their own power needs and gains.

Those of us who are fed up with this kind of behavior need to let our voices be heard throughout the planet,to raise up in one strong voice to let ourselves blast out the hatred! We the decent peoples of earth do resolve to let it be known that we will no longer tolerate nor accept war and violence and intolerance!

To accomplish this, all religions in the world need to unite in a common bond – unified in our belief in tolerance for all. That it is no longer all right for one group to attack another “in the name of religion.” That it is no longer okay to kill innocent people, or invalidate or maim others for one’s own gains.Whether it is country against country, province against province, persons against persons, men against women, this will no longer be tolerated.

That we resolve to take a stand as the Year 2000 approaches to Proclaim the Year 2000 as the Year of Religious Freedom-Freedom for all to practice their religion and hold their beliefs in the manner that they wish to,without interference from dictators or evil minded people – to Worship Freely, and practice their religion as they see fit-without harming others. That individuals have the right to be in the religion of their choosing, and as well, resolve to respect the religious beliefs of others.

That we pledge to uphold the words of Isaiah the prophet:

“They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.”

And to heed the words of humanitarian L.Ron Hubbard:

“On the day when we can fully trust each other, there will be peace on earth.”

And we can therefore help make this a better freer world – free of intolerance and war and strife, and as such deliver the world out of the arms of the hate mongers, and up into peace and tolerance.

Yours in Peace and Harmony,

Jean Brasel FL STATE CERTIFIED MEDIATOR

Religious Freedom Under Attack in Oklahoma

Religious Freedom Under Attack in Oklahoma

Washington DC (PRWEB) March 4, 2009

This morning, the Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund (SALDEF), the oldest Sikh American civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States, called upon members of the Oklahoma State Senate to prove that religious freedom is state policy in Oklahoma. This demand comes on the heels of the passage last night of legislation (HB 1645) in the Oklahoma House of Representatives that would “strictly prohibit” individuals from wearing “head scarves” and “head garments” in driver’s license photographs. Members of the House voted 88-8 in favor of the measure.

According to an editorial in a local newspaper, the legislation was introduced by Oklahoma Rep. Rex Duncan in response to news that a Muslim woman was allowed to wear a hijab in her driver’s license photograph at her local Department of Motor Vehicles. Because the proposed law forbids all headcoverings, the religious rights of observant Sikhs who wear religiously-mandated dastaars (Sikh turbans) are in jeopardy. Observant Jews, Muslims, and Christians are also affected, as are other individuals who are required to wear religious headcoverings.

Founded in South Asia by Guru Nanak over 500 years ago, the Sikh religion is the fifth largest religion in the world, with more than 25 million followers worldwide and approximately 700,000 adherents in the United States. The dastaar is worn by observant Sikhs as a reminder of their relationship with God and their obligation to promote the Sikh belief in universal equality.

When SALDEF contacted Rep. Duncan on February 27, 2009 to express concern and elicit clarification about his motives, his office denied having knowledge of the issue. Now, SALDEF is working alongside the ACLU of Oklahoma and other coalition partners to persuade the Oklahoma State Senate to ensure that a religious exemption is carved out of the proposed legislation.

“We look forward to educating Mr. Duncan and his colleagues about religious freedom,” said Rajdeep Singh Jolly, Legal Director of SALDEF. “We also call upon all religious communities, civil rights organizations, and concerned citizens throughout the nation to demand that the government of Oklahoma clarifies its commitment to protecting civil rights in the 21st century.”

Lecture Exposes Major Religious Problems for Africans and African Americans

Lecture Exposes Major Religious Problems for Africans and African Americans

Tampa, FL (PRWEB) April 16, 2009

Norman R. Allen, Jr. will present his findings at John F. Germany Public Library, (downtown Tampa), 900 N Ashley Dr, Tampa FL 33602 on Saturday, April 18, 11:00–1:00; doors open at 10:30.

Is Religion Pushing Africans and African-Americans into Superstition & Ignorance? Has the economic downturn, badly hitting African Americans, increased a desperate, wishful turn to religion rather than intelligence and real-world solutions?

Norman R. Allen, Jr., founder and executive director of African Americans for Humanism, has traveled extensively across Africa and the U.S., and bears a disturbing message. He has been asking, “What effects are religion, especially literalistic and conservative religious tenets, having on blacks around the world? Are the clear anti-science, anti-medicine, anti-thinking trends in both Africa and across the African-American communities the result of religion? Does religion promote the spread of AIDS? Does Humanism stand out in combating these movements into ignorance and superstition?”

In Tampa, on April 18, Norm Allen will report his findings about organized humanism and skepticism on the African continent, and the challenges that pro-science activists there face. He discovered numerous religious and superstitious obstacles to the teaching of good science. Allen analyzed what African humanists and skeptics are doing to defend and promote a reason-based worldview.

Norm Allen also explored some of the challenges in advancing science and secularism within the African American community. “There is a strong pressure to conform to the religious ideal among various black skeptics and atheists, including many historical African American figures.” He doubts that religion remains a liberating force for African Americans. “Allen says, “Many anti-science trends are growing in the Black community, including those coming from Black entertainment outlets promoting anti-science such as psychic 900 lines, televangelists and belief in prophecy.” He ties all of this together in an exploration of religion and secularism as they relate to political activism, including the influence of high-profile Black preachers, such as Reverend Jeremiah Wright, President Barack Obama’s spiritual advisor.

Profile:

Norman R. Allen, Jr. is the executive director of African Americans for Humanism, an educational organization primarily concerned with fostering critical thinking, ethical conduct, church-state separation, and skepticism toward untested claims to knowledge among African Americans.

In addition to his work with African Americans for Humanism, Norm Allen is the director of the Center for Inquiry/Transnational Programs. He is the editor of the ground-breaking book “African-American Humanism: An Anthology”, the “AAH Examiner”, and Deputy Editor of “Free Inquiry” magazine.

Allen has traveled and lectured widely throughout North America, Europe, and Africa, and he has spoken on numerous radio and television programs. His writings have been published in scores of newspapers throughout the U.S. and have appeared in such books as Culture Wars and the National Center for Science Education’s Voices for Evolution.

Lecture sponsor Center for Inquiry Tampa is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is “To promote and defend reason, science, and freedom of inquiry in all areas of human endeavor.” CFI organizations publish Skeptical Inquirer and Free Inquiry magazines. UN Special Rapporteur Criticizes France for Undermining Religious Freedom

UN Special Rapporteur Criticizes France for Undermining Religious Freedom

(PRWEB) April 1, 2006

The United Nations Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion or Belief has strongly criticized France over “the different measures that were taken at the governmental and parliamentary level in the second part of the 1990s [that] undermined the right to freedom of religion or belief and raised serious concerns about religious intolerance.”

The Rapporteur, Ms. Asma Jahangir, who visited France last fall and met with government officials and representatives of various religions including the Church of Scientology, acknowledges that French authorities have since attempted to “redress the balance.” Nonetheless, she adds, “after she had completed her visit, it was reported to the Special Rapporteur that, following a change in its staff, Miviludes, [the French government’s office established to investigate religious minorities], was allegedly about to return to a more hard-line position….”

“We welcome this report and the Rapporteur’s call for Miviludes not to return to the mistakes of the past,” said Rev. Heber Jentzsch, President of the Church of Scientology International. “The abuses described by the Rapporteur are the result of a campaign of intolerance by a tiny clique of anti-religious groups still funded by the French government. These groups are attempting to resuscitate intolerant practices put to rest by the government when it abandoned the blacklist of religious groups in May last year.”

The Rapporteur’s findings include strong statements on how freedom of religion and belief has been undermined:

-“Stigmatization of [religious groups’] members has led to certain forms of discrimination, in particular vis-à-vis their children.”

-“Government policy may have contributed to a climate of general suspicion and intolerance towards those communities….”

-“The policy and measures that have been adopted by the French authorities have provoked situations where the right to freedom of religion or belief of members of these groups has been unduly limited.”

Indicating her intention to “continue to closely monitor the various efforts that are carried out by Miviludes,” the Rapporteur urges that future actions of Miviludes are in line with the right to freedom of religion and “avoid past mistakes.”

Rev Jentzsch called on the French government to heed the Rapporteur’s recommendations and to ensure that Miviludes embraces tolerance and non-discrimination for all.
