The Pope is the anti Christ, he changed the Sabbath day from Saturday to Sunday, he claimed God gave him this right. Daniel said the anti Christ would think to change Gods times and laws. The pope burned and tortured millions of Christians, Daniel said the anti Christ would kill Gods saints and overpower them. The pope came out of the divided Roman empire and called himself God and the vicar of Christ. Daniel said the anti Christ would exault himself as high as JESUS the anointed one.

  • I wanna hear TELEPHONE! =D

  • The most exciting thing to happen in Iowa…ever.

  • i wanna know how the practice for that haha. do they do it on a smaller set of bells first or what?

  • you know she’s got beats when someone can pull off a church bell instrumental cover!

  • Omg a church playing gaga my church would never do that

  • it’s fantastic…
    I love it so much

  • This is how powerful Lady Gaga has become. When folks start using church bells to perform her music, she has indeed taken over everything.

  • Cooolll… ^^

  • @mpleleaf54

  • @djtelemort
    thx for sharing that smarty

  • That’s not a church. This is at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.

It’s a tradition to transfer modern day music to the carillon bells in the Campanile every day while school is in session around the noon hour.

  • where is this!? that’s awesome!

  • epic 😀

  • @Borat2borat That was my point I agree w/ you. However I kinda believe Bill was more agnostic than atheist in the 90’s.

  • @chakazulu87 That doesn’t mean he believed it once he grew up. I don’t think he believed in God while he was going this show. Maybe as a child.

  • @Borat2borat He was raised catholic

  • Religious people are so delusional and close-minded. Its annoyin smh

  • I don’t think Bill Maher ever believed in God. I think he just said it because it was ABC and he didn’t want to lose ratings. Since moving to HBO he has said many times he is an Atheist.

  • @wellalwayshaveto Well not in the 90s, now he has!

  • Wow, Bill believed in GOD? Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha…

  • How can a hapa girl be so dumb?

  • thinkingman, don’t ever be apologetic about quoting jefferson.

why did they even discuss gay pride day/month in comparison to religion? being gay is not a church and state isssue. neither is MLK day, cinco de mayo, st patrick’s day (despite the name, it is a celebration of irish heritage, not religion), or grandparents day. they were way off base in their analysis, and of course a right wing dink brought up gay pride day. we SHOULD worry about jesus day. it’s inappropriate re: the state.

  • srvoar, i will stand up for you. all religions are stupid. feel better?

  • Absurd. YOU was talking about Christianity and asserting that Christians are some how singled out. There is a church on every street in America. Christians are not being persecuted.

If you had said the same thing about Judaism or Islam on this forum, I would have responded in much the same way.

  • Christianity is especially targeted. How can you argue that when you already proved the point? It’s one thing to criticize organized religion, but that’s not how your converstation started. You called Christianity stupid, not organized religion. I’m not even talking to you about whether or not it’s stupid. To say, “I criticize them all” is a cop out in an argument where you have clearly only taken one side against one specific religion…

  • “The point is, that Christianity is a punching bag for “smart” people, to take potshots at.” ALL religions are easy targets. Christianity is not special.

“You don’t like Christianity, so it must be stupid.” No, no, the stupidity of Xianity is independent of whether or not I like it. Base jumping is stupid, but I still like it.

“and it instantly becomes an inappropriate discussion, particularly if it’s coming from a Christian….” I don’t agree with that. I criticize them all.

  • Well I’m sure you’re a very smart person who doesn’t believe in god, or a different god perhaps. The point is, that Christianity is a punching bag for “smart” people, to take potshots at. You don’t like Christianty, so it must be stupid. Take a look at what retox said. “Christians are an easy target because they’re stupid.” Substitute any other race or religion for the word Christianity, and it instantly becomes an inappropriate discussion, particularly if it’s coming from a Christian….

  • You don’t have to call Christians stupid. Their RELIGION is stupid. I’ve known some very intelligent people who believe that virgins can give birth. It’s sad.

  • “The most sacred of the duties of a government [is] to do equal and impartial justice to all its citizens.” –Thomas Jefferson
This means religions as well. This, Randy, is separation of church and state, as well as why Jesus Day is wrong to do.
    Sorry for another Jefferson quote.

  • Bill maher is so cool and funny!

  • 82% according to the Baylor survey.

I love how talking about the validity of a government sanctioned religious day, turns into a place where people can talk shit about Christianity. You can call Christians stupid and I shouldn’t be offended, but if I say Jews are stupid I’m an Anti-semite. There is a total double standard.

Even if that were not what they meant, you wouldn’t be able to show favoritism for one religion over another. They’d all have to be represented equally or not at all.

So you know, fuck what the founding fathers meant, we’ll just make up shit and play semantic games because it fits with what our group wants. Is that what some of you are saying? Gee isn’t that sad, I wish you had more respect for this great country.

(continued) & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should “make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,” thus building a wall of separation between Church & State.” – Thomas Jeffreson

“Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, (continued)

  • Maile Misajon..WOW

  • Christians are an easy target because they’re stupid. 85% or Americans do not believe in Santa Clause…..I mean Jesus. That number has gone way down, give Americans a little credit for getting a brain.
