I don’t know why the christians say it’s “their” season. They stole it from the pagan seasonal celebrations because they didn’t have any of their own, just like they accuse atheists of doing now.

It’s a pagan season and has always been for thousands of years before the “birth” of Jesus.

I’ll bet he puts up a christmas tree (PAGAN), puts up a mistletoe (PAGAN) or sings carolls with his children (PAGAN).

how is this any diffrent from the thousands of faith based signs, advertisements, and churches trying to convert people to religion? atheists are just doing what religious people do.

@daeamarth I believe in the first real attempt to see when this “jesus” was actually born, using the position of jupiter in the sky or something to determine the date, they found out it was actually in april

@1954phyllis Oh please. Most Americans are Talking Jesus, Walking Santa. They celebrate Christmas for the presents, not Jesus’s birthday. Less than 40% of Americans go to church during the Holidays. Less than 15% of Americans can list the 10 Commandments. We’re a capitalistic society. It’s all about money and power.
