Frank Zappa – We Are Not Alone

Frank Zappa (December 21, 1940 December 4, 1993) was an American composer, electric guitarist, record producer, and film director. In a career spanning more than 30 years, Zappa wrote rock, jazz, electronic, orchestral, and musique concrète works. He also directed feature-length films and music videos, and designed album covers. Zappa produced almost all of the more than 60 albums he released with the band Mothers of Invention and as a solo artist. In his teens, he acquired a taste for percussion-based avant-garde composers such as Edgard Varèse and 1950s rhythm and blues music. He began writing classical music in high school, while at the same time playing drums in rhythm and blues bands—he later switched to electric guitar. He was a self-taught composer and performer, and his diverse musical influences led him to create music that was often impossible to categorize. His 1966 debut album with the Mothers of Invention, Freak Out!, combined songs in conventional rock and roll format with collective improvisations and studio-generated sound collages. His later albums shared this eclectic and experimental approach, irrespective of whether the fundamental format was one of rock, jazz or classical. He was a strident critic of mainstream education and organized religion, and a forthright and passionate advocate for

    @phreestylesk8r All

  • @phreestylesk8r they are all worthy in their own way, but may favorits are: One size fits all, Roxy and elsewhere,
    Hota rats, Grand Wazoo, overnight sensation, apostrophe. but there are tons of other awsome records.

  • Ray Manzarek we love you!!!

  • Played this song last year with my jazz band… holy balls that was difficult.

  • @phreestylesk8r Live at the Roxy &Elsewhere is a must have. I like live in New York too. The one that I didn’t care for was Absolutely Free. It’s not the usual frank zappa, way less instrumental based and more based on a really weird story that i couldn’t even grasp.

  • what zappa albums are worth buying or are they all worth buyying

  • i think it`s the one of the hardest composition to perform especially if you don`t have a notes and playing it aurally along with Zappa, `cause tonality changing amost all the time:) – he is genius and one of the most wonderful composition that i`ve heard from him

  • Awesome!

    i think they got the checkmate in the working and we have nothing except our guns

  • @MrFan32 Yes and No. Action is already being taken with communication. The creator does not accept eye for an eye. I see you claim to be 57 years of age. Action will be taken and you and I will have to do very little.

  • @lebiew what good is information without action? you’ll have better results and attention if you go on a murderous rampage

  • @MrFan32 No it means get more informed. Dougs comedy speaks the truth which can seem depressing.
    Government is big enough to supply everything you need but is big enough to take everything you have.

  • @lebiew wake up = kill yourself i guess?

  • @MrFan32 If it depresses you then, you are trapped. They have you in their matrix. Wake up

  • @AlwaysDisagreeing go get a fuck.you surelly need one.
