We can’t be smart when we’re stupid. And that’s terrible.

Many scientific people in the past also happen to be very faithful adherents. It’s only today were so sensitive to titles as if we can’t be this if we are that. And that’s terrible.

Chemotherapy kills 95% of the people that take it within 5 years, it has a 95% KILL rate! If it had a 95% CURE rate you may have had a point, as it is, you’ve only proven your ignorance, please do not force your ignorance on others, regardless of religion. You want to KILL this boy, the parents want to let him die peacefully, you are both in the same boat. Stay out of others peoples’ business, YOU are condemning this boy to a horrible death by radiation poisoning!

Kids who were raised in strict religious backgrounds are usually denied the right to freedom of Religion. Often times, if they choose to convert when they’re older their own family will be sorely disappointed with them. In some cases, parents will literally disown their brethren

I’ve had this debate with circumcision. The problem isn’t the need to limit freedom of religion, its the need to make it a law they you can’t force your religion onto your children. You should allow them to have their freedom to the persuit of happiness and the freedom of religion, by backing off when it comes to their boundaries.
From an agnostic, not a christian.

The problem is that the parents are confused. If they are Catholic, there is no problem. The issue is that their personal cult of Catholicism doesn’t agree. Its not a religious matter, it is a cult matter. This is further proved by no denominations being in Catholicism.

should we have freedom of religion? Yes. But the thoughts of the child with cancer should be listened too also to get his point of view. I don’t think the community or gov’t should step in and force chemotherapy treatment on the boy.

There have always been stories like this, every few years something like this happens. I remember a while back in Canada it was a kid who needed a blood transfusion but her parents were Jehova Witnesses so they were against it. I believe the Doctors usually win in these debates (at least I hope they do).

I agree 1000% I am a Pagan and although I do not like putting chemicals in my body….i have no choice because if i wish to move to take care of my children I must ingest potassium chloride and frankly if my child was dying or in suffering i would pour nuclear waste in their throat if that was the only option I had……..anything to ease a childs suffering or prevent death

Religion should have no more freedom or special treatment then any other form of freedom of thought. If the mother instead bought into some conspiracy theory that made her medically neglect her child like the water flouridation conspiracy or the anti-vaccine movie, that wouldn’t get special treatment.

Great video. You’re right, I believe.
If assisted suicide is considered illegal and tantamount to willful murder (under current law), then aren’t the parents not willfully killing their child? It’s not as though they are ignorant or the risks: they are merely religiously belligerent.
But this absolute adherence to a set of beliefs, to the overall detriment of their child, is an example of freedom taken to extremes.
Religion should always be a choice, not a sentence. Hope that kid gets better.

But they don’t really want you dead… they want you to live as long as you can so they can suck every penny they can out of you… until you’re dead. So… they give you chemo and rad .. damaging your kidneys… so that can give you kidney treatments… until you have to be on dialysis… and until your liver goes bad so that can give you liver meds… etc. etc. etc.

That is only when humans try to make religion “work” for its own benefit. Religion MUST be a set of rules (commandments) and principles that lead people to GOD. Then again, I can see that you are a practical atheist and a believer on the State Total Control…

It shows what you think about religion when you said “religious crap”. Now, had you ever wonder why all this new sickness have appear in the last 100 years ? Perhaps an indiscriminate use of technology from humans just to make some more money ? The priority of thinks has change but it always should be: GOD, Family and State. Not the other way around

Oh Thank You for this opinion!! Here in America we’ve recently had a similar situation with a couple who had a sick (treatable) baby girl and refused to take her to the hospital (which would have saved her life) in favor of prayer-healing.
She died, and the court decided that the parents were within their rights to with-hold hospital care for their daughter. I was livid, and my husband and I had a very heated discussion about whether or not religious freedom should be restricted…

So does high dose IV vitamin C, so does Essaic Tea but if a doctor claims as much they loose their license. There is evidence to show Hodgkins is caused by early vaccinations (like most chronic illness’) provided by the very companies that later sell you the Chemo and Radiation therapy. Are you are getting a clearer picture now? They create the disease then sell the treatment. Until you understand the psyche of the elite you will continue you to think they have you’re best interests at heart.
