Look through history and you’ll see the biggest dangers to society are not terrorists, not domestic murderers, roads are pretty bad, but governments…and by a long, long, long way. Millions and millions.

he cud have exacted revenge but he chose not to against those who sent him to prison for terrorism offences, instead he focused on helping his fellow countrymen/ women, fighting poverty, fighting aids and helping the people to get past the feelings of hatred and there violent past. these people are all freedom fighters, they are the minority and we shud get behind ppl like these instead of ridiculing them based on our bias and flawed views that we get from very biased sources.

martin luther king stood up for whats right and he was ridiculed in the press , by politicians and by racist white americans back in the 60s, which by the way was the normal way to treat blacks even then, especially where he came from. nelson mandela spent fought against an oppressive regime run by a bunch of white racists murderers, and yet he fought and spent a lifetime in prison and when he came out after a mass movement to have him released he was elected president.

It must be her ‘terrible communication skills’ which made her one of the finest legal brains in human rights law. My forefathers did not fight in the mud of Ypres and the sands of Tripoli for evil lightweights like the people commenting here to implement their own odious Murdochian fascism in Britain. I would vote for her. Thankfully we don’t have a real democracy in Britain, ‘Muslim sucicide bomber’ is starting to sound more and more like ‘Jewish-Bolshevik anarchy’. Orwell beats HItler any day

And what does “foremost” mean? What majority does she have in any constituency? She is unelected by us with no mandate atall. It is very easy to speak like she does without having to be held accountable to the electorate. She has terrible communication and persuasion skills accompanied by an odious snarling and sneering style. If she stood for election she would lose her deposit.

This woman bleats on about human rights,and anti-torture etc.,but she only defends non-British,she does and says nothing about the British people who are in foreign jails,who are being tortured routinely. How passionate is she about them?
Until I see British people being freed from foreign jails thanks to her and her organisation,I will only see this woman as nothing more that a very bad joke!

On one hand – I admire this woman’s passion – (we don’t see enough of it today) but i fear she is not living in the real world – PC will not address birth rates in the UK, we need to see a responsible government taking action.

I don’t get this woman. She’s unelected, has no mandate to represent the people yet speaks copiously throughout the media on what people think often at variance with public opinion. I really look forward to her ending her time at Liberty and making a genuine contribution to society by getting a proper job instead of being a person who is never happier than when she is complaining. Or, spending some time in genuinely oppressed countries instead of thinking the UK is somehow deprived of liberties.
