The key to USB security

Let’s talk something about USB Security. If I ask someone what is security? I would probably get the answer that it is a state of being free from danger or injury like we support the armed services in the name of National Security. But when it comes to protecting your USB flash drive, what would you do in order to achieve total USB security?

Some people prefer password protecting while other prefer encryption option. Although there are all sorts of encryption options available for USB devices, but many of them require administrator rights on the host PC and their security varies greatly. Therefore, many people prefer password protecting their USB flash drive rather than encrypting it.

Year 2009 has been a year where the convenient USB flash drives have been charged for data loss due to the increased incidences of misplaced and lost flash drives. The dilemma is that USB flash drives are convenient but relatively less secure than other media, even then there has been a positive approach towards USB flash drives.

According to a report in the upcoming years, the unsecured USB drives will replace other removable media and that will keep hurting business and public organizations. So we just have to be little proactive with the technology and find out the best solution that provide us complete USB Security.

Since it is not just about encrypting your device as the same applies to laptops and computers; this is not the issue, the issue is protecting the USB drive, memory cards and other storage media in such a way that even if they get stolen or lost, the data in it will remain protected, we have to find out the application that can secure our USB flash drive for example USB Secure that lets you protect your USB flash drive, memory card, pen drive, thumb drive, jump drive and even memory sticks.

I am sure the versatility of USB Secure along with the unbreakable protection is the main reason for its popularity. People always want to have a security application with which they can protect two or more things and USB Secure fulfills their need. I myself have tried this little but a very powerful software to lock my pen drive and was very amazed with its fool-proof security. It is very easy to install and use USB Secure but it is impossible to break its protection. If you also want to try it for free of cost, you can download it and then install on your portable device which you want to protect.
