Can I have some notable examples of freedom of religion?

Question by : Can I have some notable examples of freedom of religion?
I’m doing research for a report in my civics class and i’m assigned freedom of religion. I would really appreciate if it could be a court case; perhaps a little history on how the freedom was formed would also be helpful.

How to Choose a Computer Security Consultant: Some Neglected Aspects

<!– @page { margin: 2cm } P { margin-bottom: 0.21cm } –>

When you run a business that depends crucially on its technical and administrative information (and what business doesn’t?) then you’ll want to take steps to protect that data from loss or damage. One of those steps will often be to hire a computer security consultant to review your information security and suggest improvements that are aligned to your risk appetite and to best practice.

Security consulting is a unique kind of business. Like other kinds of computer consultancy, information security consultants need to be thoroughly up-to-date on industry trends and standards, and have an outstanding record of achievement for their clients. That’s taken as read. But other aspects of the information security business are less obvious, but are at least as crucial when you’re considering hiring security consultants.

You’ll be confronted by a deluge of complicated technobabble when exploring the services of various information security agencies. Step back and let it pass (forward it to your own specialists to decode if you wish), and then start asking some very different questions of the agency. Such as: “What is your view of integrity in a security contractor?” Or: “How do you ensure that your staff and freelancers are trustworthy?”

]]>

These are far from trivial questions. For example, penetration testing involves an attempt to breach your internal network’s defences, and has the potential to cause significant damage to your software and systems if carried out maliciously. For a penetration test to be performed by a security consultant with a criminal past is really not a great idea! You need to have confidence that all staff have been thoroughly vetted for criminal convictions etc., and that each computer security consultant is completely committed to values such as integrity, reliability, and discretion.

So how do you find that out? One possible indicator is membership of relevant industry bodies. For example, information security agencies in the UK may be members of CLAS (CESG Listed Advisors Scheme), while companies providing penetration testing (so-called “ethical hacking”) might also be members of CREST (Council of Registered Ethical Security Testers). Both these schemes vet the individual and the company, and require regular renewal of credentials. Freelance security testers may be members of the “Tiger Scheme”, though this does not address any company-related issues.

Another indicator is the national security clearance level of key consultants. In the UK, the basic level is SC (Security Cleared) for ad hoc access to documents marked “SECRET”, but for regular work on SECRET or access to more sensitive data the DV (Developed Vetting) level is necessary. The procedures involved in gaining clearance are rigorous and dependable, and include a check on criminal records and credit references. So you could find out the clearance level of the security consultants who will work with you, even if your project does not itself require this level of clearance.

Remember, the safety of your business data is ultimately your responsibility. It’s part of due diligence to investigate the trustworthiness of your information security consultants. Quite apart from all the technical and administrative questions that must be asked, you should also be asking these less tangible questions about integrity and values. Because, ultimately, you need to be able to trust the security consultant not to damage your critical business data: and that involves not only competence but also core values.

Country Crock: Spreading the Margarine of Freedom When Some Prefer Real Butter (part 1)

Iraq is not the only country that the U.S. has set upon itself to “liberate”. We have a long history of lending a helping hand to our fellow man. In the past when information traveled more slowly and was less available, U.S. “freedom” efforts around the world where able to maintain a benevolent facade. However thanks to technology and Clinton’s Freedom of Information Act, we can take glimpses beyond the headlines.

The United States has had an ongoing struggle to “help” Cuba, although it is already a democracy. Yes, that’s right Cuba is a democracy, the 70 year old Castro, has been in power since 1959, much of this time as the elected President. Of course the typical American’s response to Castro is that he is an oppressive tyrant and the Cuban people wish to be set free, and the headlines we see would suggest just that. But if you look beyond the headlines you might be surprised.

Many Cubans don’t understand what Americans have against Castro after all he can’t be all bad if you really take a look. Just take education and healthcare for example. Despite the U.S. imposed global economic isolation of Cuba the Cuban educational system has been ranked higher than the United States. In 2001 Cuba was even put forth as a model for our own educational system during a Harvard Graduate School of Education Conference. Also more Cubans have access to medical care than Americans. So ask yourself, how can this be? Why would a tyrannical dictator put so much effort into the care and education his oppressed people?

Yes, yes it is agreed that things could be better in Cuba, but then again things could be better in Detroit Michigan as well. Parts of the 313 are in no better shape with all the resources that the U.S. government has. Castro cannot take all the blame for Cuba’s economic situation; the United States has had more than a small part to play. The U.S. has sanctioned and blocked foreign trade to Cuba since 1950’s. In 2004 while we were all distracted by the war, Bush Jr. tightened the squeeze on Cuba with harsher sanctions. In Bush’s own words, “the happy day when Castro’s regime is no more”. (by now you should be able to translate his babble)

First of all what has the 70 year old Castro done against the U.S. recently? Isn’t this all because Cuba will not play nice and let the U.S. use it as a strategic military base? Maybe Cuba does not agree to our World policies and does not want to give into the big bully. If we really wanted to “free” the Cuban people, why have we spent the last decade keeping them impoverished? Sanctions do not hurt the dictator, it is the Cuban people that suffer.

You begin to wonder if our intentions are so noble! The U.S. seems to have a track record in collapsing democracies in the name of democracy. And the people of these countries always seem the worse off for it.

What are some countries today that dont have religious freedom? Why is freedom of religion important?

Question by bananas_rool1214: What are some countries today that dont have religious freedom? Why is freedom of religion important?
What is the history of freedom of religion in the u.s?

Best answer:

Answer by aresee
I can’t answer the first part to your question but as to the second part. I don’t know what religion you are, but whatever you are, would you like to be told you can’t follow it? Freedom of choice is one of the most important things in life. And at this time of year, we have to remember and be grateful to so many who gave their lives so that we have that freedom.

What do you think? Answer below!

Some nuts think religion is useless: God is non-existence! But it is the only explanation for your being!

Some nuts think religion is useless: God is non-existence! But it is the only explanation for your being!

Some nuts think that religion is useless and bad. They proclaim that God does not exist and He is the invention of humans of a Big Someone. No proof for God and no one can see God, therefore, for such imbeciles, God does not exist.

But these confirmed imbeciles forget that without religion there is no other explanation for our life and our death, our lifecycle, for the purpose of human being, for good and evil. There is no other explanation for living and suffering, for living and rejoicing, for desperation and hope.

Without religion how can we have a moral code in accordance with the nature of human being, in accordance with what the creator of man has designed and prescribed for him? How can we understand the object of being, growing, ageing and dying? How can we comprehend our task and modulate our lives accordingly?

But religion is only an invitation for man. It is only an admonition for the human race. It is only a path indicator. Religion leaves for man the ultimate choice of belief and disbelief. It gives all dignity and value as well as freedom of will to man to decide for himself, to choose between the path of God or any other path, the devil for example.

Religion explains to mankind the meaning of their existence, it invites them to believe in God and do good with the consequences of a reckoning in another life where all shall be held responsible for their beliefs, or disbelief, for their good and evil. It tells humans that the power that has put their atoms together can redo it again, at pleasure.

It tells us of the purpose of God for creating humans and how He would try and test them. It tells us about the mystery of our existence and the existence of the universe, our role and our end. It tells us of who has created the universe and created all life manifestations that surrounds us.

It informs us of the good path and the evil one to follow. It tells us how to avoid the evil and bad action and how to perform the good one. It is the only way to avoid evil and do good.

But such an ignorant imbecile does rejects religion for religion was taken as a pretext for crime, murder and all sins, under the Christians, Inquisitions, Crusades. Christians fighting one another in Ireland. Muslims are accused with terrorism and killings.

Such an imbecile cites the cases of the 9/11 and the Bali suicide bombing of a discotheque killing Australian citizens and other westerners.

The accusation is badly taken and is a false accusation directed against religion. No religion teaches hatred and teaches crime and killing.

But being ignorant of religion and religious texts, such idiots assume that religion prescribes such crimes. While religion denies humans committing any crimes, of murder or theft.

The Law prescribes Ten Golden Commandments exactly to avoid any evil doing and promoting what is good. The Gospel is an invitation to all mankind to do good and shun evil. The Qur’anic text is but an admonition to mankind to do good and eschew evil with the consequences awaiting the sinners.

God, is the only deterrent factor in the life of man to do good and avoid evil. If God is not there then man does what he wants. No moral codes, no laws of conduct, no deterrents, and everyone is free to do what he likes, at pleasure.

It is exactly because of this there so many belief systems and so many deities and so many paths to sin and do wrong, so many paths to take and so many deities to worship. Man is given the mind and the freedom to choose for himself and then he shall be held to account for his, or her, own deeds. He is given a short and transitory lifetime and then his return to the creator that has put his atoms together.

If there is no God then every human being is free to kill, murder, massacre, steal and lead his life according to his animal drives. Throughout history we have ample examples of such criminality.

Look at what Napoleon has does of humanity offering sacrifices at the altar of his personal glory, Caligula, Nero, Alexander the Great before them, Hitler, Mussolini, Paul Pot, Stalin, Mao, in our time, only last century, have done to humanity for they were disbelievers atheists, like those imbeciles who are against religion and deny God, they are responsible for the massacre of millions and criminality against humanity. Look at Ben laden what he has done of criminal acts against humanity, and his team of hard and professional religious mafia sowing terror in the world.

But religion is not responsible but those who deny religion and deny God that are responsible. The crusades in the Dark Ages and terrorist acts in our time, are performed by psychopath and distorted criminals that identify themselves with religion, whether Islam, Christianity of Judaism.

Humans take anything as a pretext for their evil doing, to justify massacre, crime, murder and destruction. Humans take any pretext to justify their dominance, power and control over others, individuals or states and people suffer always at their hands.

Such arrogant and ignorant idiots who reject religion and disbelieve in God have no idea of why they are there and cannot possibly explain there own existence except in terms of the absurd and the inutile.

How would such imbeciles, like Hawking and Darwin, explain their own being and the existence of the universe if there is no God to ordain things?

But man is an ungrateful bastard to his own creator!
