Inside The Constitution Pt. 1

www.ntv.co.ke The referendum question is yet to be posed, the attorney general is yet to publish the draft constitution; but the YES and NO campaigns have taken shape and an intense debate is already underway. Linus Kaikai hosts the man in the eye of a storm, the newly posted minister for higher education William Samoei Ruto; a politician around whom the campaign against the draft constitution revolves. This is the first part of Inside the Constitution.

  • he is a real leader

  • this guy is too smart, we back him on the basis on this interview and the argument is straight up

  • The title should be Ruto part 1 or Road to Hague.

  • HAHAHA

  • This is very poorly done by NTV. You allowed Ruto to control the session, absolutely unchallenged. Linus looked meek, passive and sheepish. Ruto should have been properly grilled; why not bring in somebody else in the panel or has an alternative view or get a journalist who is conversant in matters of law. what a wasted opportunity to challenge Ruto’s views, most of which are based on his own interpretation of provisions in the draft and selective reading of the draft.

  • Say what you may about this Ruto guy but he is very articulate.

  • Kenyans never cease to amaze me, including this “Journalist”…how is Education, one of ,a society’s fundamentals, a “low key” issue or ministry ???

  • he got owned with the flash back lol

  • @fitahnz: Yu cease personalizing issues. It’s lame. Yu can’t handle a healthy debate YU keep off my turf. Yu’re a bitter person and I am no psychiatrist, sorry.

  • @evans4you go and check how big he was during the last elections.

  • @siasabora what shots do they call? all they do is snitch….we all knw they got the worste personality bloody thieves….the only people they hang out with r meru’s all the other kenyan tribes dont like em…u guys got r simply fckd up

  • He was never fat, always looked the same.

  • Excellent program!

  • NTV, you best bring Njonjo back for the yes argument and afford him the same air time.

  • Mr Ruto you should be fined for using profanity on the airwaves

  • @wanzueni Yu don’t get it do you? Yu are out in this game plan! Yu actually feature nowhere!

  • @fitahnz : love ’em hate ’em, they call the shots in the house!

  • @wanzueni: Keep singing ‘stolen elections’ and we headed to 2012. Yu’re increasingly becoming a lonesome lot and isolated, smell the coffee!

  • thats true ruto has a point.raila has got what he wanted now the position of pm appointed by president is no longer in contention among other things.power struggles taking shape………ati kenyans said?which kenyans said?mwananchi wa kawaida mwenye ako kwa hema is paying the price.one day the tables will turn

  • @MrEliuda prosecute for what?the quy who stole the election should be prosecuted first aha aha ahaif it is true that the government can take somebodys land then this constitution is wrong,

  • lord he is loosing weight so fast, i feel sorry for the guy it seems bloody kikuyus are using raila to revenge against him.

  • ha ha ha…

  • This is an intelligent guy, who urgues his positions articulately. He may have been suspected of many corrupt deals, but can somebody tell me if he has been prosecuted. I see that foreign diplomats are now the proponents of ‘yes’ , that makes me worried because the last time I checked, Kenya was an independent nation, so my opinion is “they should keep off” what do you think?

  • he has an argument but if this kiambu big is now given im sure the majority of mps can change that later ama mwasemaji

  • Hon Ruto, you will not dictate historians on what to write. Look at the way they are writing Moi’s history and that of Kenyatta. Historians do not rely on a single source or merely what is said by politicians and other actors they thoroughly interrogate every piece of information based on the developemnts taking place in the country. You will be surprised what historians will write about you et al. Do you now understand why Moi and Kenyatta detained some scholars?
