What if there had been a provision in the original Constitution that the entire document had to be re-written this year? How do you think a Constitution drafted today would differ from the original one?

be creative?

I don’t think it could be done today. Five years from now we would be waiting for the Republicans and Democrats to come to a consensus on how much control the government should have.

  • the way the Nation is now, I don’t see our government for one second working together to create a document they can all agree on. I see several documents being created followed by threats, speration of houses and party’s followed by mass national war.

  • We hold these truths to be self evident, yet obviously avoided!!!

  • I would only change one thing – clarify that the 14th Amendment does NOT mean that illegals can come here and drop Anchor Babies.

Otherwise, it’s a perfect, brilliant document. I just wish politicians would stop trying to circumvent it.
