  • A liberal arts college is one that believes that all students, regardless of major, need to have a solid grounding in all of the liberal arts subjects (in addition to their major) so that they are better prepared as critical thinkers and able to adapt to change.
    These days we refer to all of the subjects within the humanities (languages, literature, art, music, theater, etc…), social sciences (economics, history, sociology, anthropology, political science, etc…), natural and physical sciences (physics, biology, chemistry, geology, etc…), and math.
