Presidential Election…??

I know this is sure to inflame some people, but I need to know how any average american citizen can even consider voting for McCain?? The war was a gigantic mistake. Who doesn’t know this? McCain has been quoted as saying he will stay in Iraq for 100 years…why?? He is endorsed by and follows many of the same ideas as Bush. Who doesn’t know what this thought process has done to our country?? Not to mention that McCain wants to overturn Roe Vs. Wade. This can not be allowed to happen. It takes women so many years into the past. Young women need to pay attention. He does have the power to do it. He will have control of the supreme court. That would be damaging to women’s rights We do need a change. Barack Obama is the epitome of the ideals that this country was formed upon. Freedom. Equality. We can not as a country continue to preach it but not live by it. We need someone fresh and young and motivated by possibilities. Where is the hope for the future? A breath if fresh air is what this country needs. Experience certainly does not equal better quality. One last statement…For those of you who refer to Obama as Barack Hussein Obama, I hope you are not a racist or a bigot who is too afraid to say it’s about the color of his skin. That should be our last thought right now. Everyone should be thinking of ways to keep crooked politics out of the white house. Patriotism is an often misunderstood word. Vote Obama…
Eagleswings41,

I knew this subject would inflame some people but I was not rude. I didn’t find it necessary for you to call me stupid simply because my opinion differs from yours. I am educated and do not believe “holding hands…” would bring world peace. I simply do not believe that bickering, fighting, name calling, or starting war are the ways to solve problems. Also, 9/11 was caused by Osama bin Laden, not Iraq and Saddam Hussein. If our war was waged over 9/11 then it would have been with Afghanistan & Pakistan. I don’t understand why people can not see the correlation between the war, the oil companies, and Bush and his puppet masters. So now that I have followed up, I again want to say that I did not need to resort to name calling in an adult conversation. I hope that anyone else who replies is more polite despite differences.

Talk to my sister in law. She was an unwanted pregnancy that was put up for adoption shortly before Roe-v-Wade became law. You are not going to find a woman who is too upset over the prospect of Roe-v-Wade going bye-bye. Don’t tar all woman with the same brush.

  • Did you ever wonder what would happen if every person didn’t vote?

  • Thank you but no I won’t vote for Obama unless he selects the perfect VP. Much like the misquotes attributed to Obama the “quotes” you attribute to McCain are also twisted and not accurate. First there is a lot more to the quote on the 100 years. Second Roe V Wade will never overturned and abortion will never be made illegal. The American people will never allow it. However, modification to the abortion used for birth control purposes is just plan wrong and should be stopped. Also not being allowed to inform parents of determental health issues of their children is also wrong.

  • McCain has judgment to make hard choices and understand that the Iran, Russia only respect power thru the barrel of the gun. Obama thinks you can reason with these people, wrong. Naive younger voters scare me because they blame republicans for the economy but the reality is people spend more than they earn. Those debts racked by mortgage crisis will be burdened by the taxpayer. The problem is not left verse right but common sense versus idealism. Common sense policy is reductions in goverment spending from federal level down to local. Give me something concrete not PhD level sematics on how to fix the economy.

  • OMG!! The surge is Iraq is working and is a success. A mistake to go into Iraq. NO! It would of been a mistake after 9/11 to have sat back and done nothing. You liberal Obama supporters think that if we hold hands with evil in the world and sing kum by ya we would all get along and have peace. Peace through strength is the only way and is why our country is the great country it is. Barack Obama the epitome of what our country was formed upon? You are stupid. You don’t even know the ideals our country was formed on. Barack is a socialist, one-world idiot. Go back to school, take an advanced history course and get a clue. Vote Obama? Yeah, sure …..NEVER.
