Does the freedom of information act we can ask the government on information related to terrorists, alien, government conspircys, immigration, what does the freedom of information act mean?

  • You can ask for it, but they do not have to provide every detail.

  • The freedom of Information helps citizens to know what is being done by bureaucrats on the works they have been entrusted.

    For example, if apply for a passport and if I do not get it in time and do not satisfactory reply to my queries, I can use right to information to know what they have done till now.
    This will make them to do the right thing.

  • An Act to make provision for the disclosure of information held by public authorities or by persons providing services for them and to amend the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Public Records Act 1958; and for connected purposes.
