Agreed. In order for freedom of religion to work, everyone must play fair. Muslims will get a lot more respect if they fight for others’ right to/from religious expression with the same vigor they fight for their own — world-wide. Once Islamic countries begin adopting the principles of freedom of religion, only then will Muslims be taken seriously in their commitment to the principles of freedom of religion. Senate bill S. 1105 could make negative statements concerning homosexuality, such as calling the practice of homosexuality a sin from the pulpit, a “hate crime” punishable by law. This dangerous legislation could take away your freedom of speech and your freedom of religion. Contact your senators NOW, and urge them to oppose this bill.

There is anti-Muslim hysteria because Islam and Islamic societies are singularly incapable of permitting internal dissent and external competition from alternative faiths. Unless Islamic societies create a record of allowing honest theological dissent in countries where they are in a majority, this so called anti-Islamic hysteria is likely to continue, perhaps even intensify.

It’s the usual ‘useful idiots’ on parade. No wonder anti war rallies are no longer attracting many demonstrators.
