With ‘we’ I include people of whom I know they are thinking for themselves because they bring evidence, valid arguments and math to the table. With “obviously wrong” I point toward CIT, Pilots for Truth and anyone who believes in a MIHOP-based hypothesis — which, incidentally, seems to be most of the truthers.

I happen to think that the digital age opens up information to the masses on a whole new level. I confess, a large percentage is mis/dis-info/bs. Regardless, . . . I am totally fine with diffferent conclusions and opinions. Its the fact that you say “we” that is ironic to me, and “obviously wrong”.
No matter which story you decide to believe, in this case alot of it is bound to be speculation.

The Asch experiment is about conforming to a group of people that is obviously wrong. Considering there are many people now who are, thanks to the digital age as the method, confirming to 9/11 CT’s — who are obviously wrong — I’d say that’s a perfect example of the workings of the experiment.
Ever thought about the possibility that we ARE thinking for ourselves and simply arrive at different conclusions? We realize your group is thriving on speculation, rather than evidence.

@helicontv Oooooh, the IRONY. . . The Asch experiment is applicable to practically every American citizen that cant think for themselves, including you. You agree with the majority. The “official” theory, the one that all the intelligent, rational, logical folks believe in.
You side with them rather than the “conspiracy/truther/nut jobs”. You are a perfect example of the function of the Asch experiment, and those same methods are used from birth to death to get average citizens (u) to conform.

You can see this pattern of steps running throughout CIT’s answers to their FAQ to hand-wave valid evidence:
1. Some statements from people don’t corroborate the official story.
2. We use these to implicate the govt.
3. Since we implicated the govt. we can’t trust evidence coming from the govt.
4. Since we’ve declared evidence coming from the govt. invalid, we have proven an inside job.
See how unscientific this is? step 3 alone is already a logical fallacy, and is called an ad hominem argument.

no evidence found? How could you’ve missed the plane debris, DNA reports, passenger effects, downed poles, the flight manifest, the passenger calls, several radar data, the air traffic control communication tapes…? I could go on and on and on.
Have you also missed the release of two tapes that show an object storming toward the Pentagon? Combine this with aforementioned evidence and the witnesses mentioning a plane crashing into the Pentagon and, well, there you have it.

Carl Sagan once also said: “extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.” Where Watergate and Iran-Contra had obvious and clear evidence, the claim that 9/11 being an inside job has absolutely none. Truthers are somehow unable to see this. Especially in the case of Flight 77. Plane debris, DNA and passenger effects are the evidence here. There is no evidence to the contrary.

The thing is is that you actually have proven conspiracies, as with Watergate and Iran-Contra. Such proven conspiracies create conspiracy theorists. As Carl Sagan once said: “Detecting conspiracies when there are no conspiracies is a symptom of paranoia; detecting them when they exist is a sign of mental health.”

The reason people don’t leave this topic alone, including me, is that you always have conspiracy theorists whenever something big happened and people who stay rational and try to educate.
Let go of your fixation for the gubmint being evil; a plane crashed here. People saw it, evidence proves it and the scientific community and reputable organizations stand behind it. You just don’t want to accept it and rather believe they’re all in on it too.

no one found any part of the plane at all…so i dont think it would be a plane. so its not proven that it was a plan. for if it was proven this topic would have been left alone. why didnt bush allow the release what the sevalance cameras capture? that just gives ppl more reason to believe it wasnt a plan at all. no on looked futher in to crash just like 9/11 which i think is fucking heartless
