The Secret Government

It aired on PBS in 1987 and is as good as anything on the tape (must see). Moyers is a very respected TV journalist who also worked for Lyndon B. Johnson and has a very professional approach. He interviews many different people involved with the CIA and other government agencies. His documentary gives quite an overview of what has actually happened in the last 50 years regarding the CIA and the cold war (including Iran, Guatamala, Cuba, Viet Nam and Chile). He features such people as Ralph McGeehee and Phil Retinger (both former CIA agents), Rear Admiral Gene La Rocque (Ret. USN), Theodore Bissell (active in the CIA at the time), Sen. Frank Church and many others. Moyers is so very credible. The full video “The Secret Government” is 90 minutes – this segment is edited by Frank Dorrel to 20 minutes.

In some cases, several nuclear missiles simultaneously and inexplicably malfunctioned while a disc-shaped object silently hovered nearby. Six former US Air Force officers and one former enlisted man will break their silence about these events at the National Press Club and urge the government to publicly confirm their reality. One of them, ICBM launch officer Captain Robert Salas, was on duty during one missile disruption incident at Malmstrom Air Force Base and was ordered to never discuss it. Another participant, retired Col. Charles Halt, observed a disc-shaped object directing beams of light down into the RAF Bentwaters airbase in England and heard on the radio that they landed in the nuclear weapons storage area. Both men will provide stunning details about these events, and reveal how the US military responded. Captain Salas notes, “The US Air Force is lying about the national security implications of unidentified aerial objects at nuclear

Chinese Government Selects SeaSecure to Provide Maritime Security & Antiterrorism Training

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL (PRWEB) January 8, 2004 –

– The Chinese government announced that it has selected SeaSecure LLC, a global leader in maritime security and counter-terrorism consulting, to provide maritime security and antiterrorism training to senior members of the Hong Kong Marine Department.

“SeaSecure is very proud to have been selected by the Hong Kong government to provide this essential training to their Marine Department,” said Kim Petersen, SeaSecure’s President at a news conference. “Working with our regional partner, Securicor plc, we have already concluded over six training and certification classes and more are already in the pipeline.”

Security training is required as a result of the International Port Facility and Security (ISPS) Code, which was adopted by the UN’s International Maritime Organization (IMO) to address maritime security at all international ports and the security of ships engaged in international commerce. The ISPS Code has set strict standards for port and ship operators that must be achieved by 1 July 2004.

These students will become Port Facility Security Officers in Hong Kong or the People’s Republic of China, where they will perform port security audits. The three- and five-day training programs provide comprehensive instruction on maritime security using protocols established by the IMO and SeaSecure.

About SeaSecure:

SeaSecure is widely recognized as the nation’s leading expert in maritime security, and its staff have performed security assessments in over 90 countries and 165 seaports. In 2001, SeaSecure was selected to be the lead security consultant to all of Florida’s deep-water ports and, in 2002, to perform seaport and facility vulnerability and threat assessments at over a dozen seaports in the United States. SeaSecure’s international clients include some of the world’s largest seaports, shipping companies, and cruise lines. SeaSecure provides maritime security training to US and foreign governments and industry.

About Kim Petersen:

In addition to being the President of SeaSecure, Mr. Petersen is also the Executive Director of the Maritime Security Council, which represents over 70% of the world’s shipping. His civilian career has included senior staff positions with former US Secretaries of State Kissinger and Haig. He has directed security for such companies as Princess Cruises and Renaissance Cruises. He attended Harvard Business School and Virginia Commonwealth University. Kim has frequently given expert testimony before Congress on maritime security and his writings have been published in several journals and books. He has been featured on such programs as CBS’s “Sixty Minutes,” ABC’s “20/20,” the Evening News with Peter Jennings, and National Public Radio. He is a Visiting Professor at the UN’s World Maritime University, and in 2003 the Secretary of Transportation appointed Kim to the Marine Transportation System National Advisory Council.

The basic concept is the same as that underpinning the “white roads” idea — the development of a technology that can reflect a proportion of the sun’s radiation away from the earth’s surface and back out into space, thereby cooling the atmosphere and slowing, or even reversing the damaging effects of global climate change. Several models have been put forward as to how such a feat of “geo-engineering” might actually be achieved, most involving the positioning of a reflective shield of some sort out in space. As early as 1989, for instance, in an article entitled “Space-based Solar Shield to Offset Greenhouse Effect,” James T. Question by Sunday: How did the original Constitution reflect a distrust of popular government?
It has been said, “The Constitution reflects a basic distrust of direct popular government.” What are two aspects of the original Constitution that demonstrate this distrust? I think the electoral college is one of them, but I’m drawing a blank on anything else.

Turkish Government Receives Maritime Counterterrorism Training from US Company

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL (PRWEB) May 24, 2004 –

The Turkish Government has recently received critical maritime security and counter-terrorism training from SeaSecure LLC, a leading US maritime security company. The training was provided to the country’s port and ship security auditor personnel, all of whom are employed by Turk Loydu, Turkey’s Recognized Security Organization (RSO).

As a result of the terror attacks of 9/11, the United Nations established the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code in 2002. The ISPS Code sets minimum standards for maritime security at all international ports and the security of ships engaged in international commerce. These strict standards must be achieved by the compliance deadline of 1 July 2004.

“Turk Loydu was looking for a company with a history of demonstrated expertise in maritime security to provide instruction to our port security auditors. As the RSO for the Turkish Government it is very important that our auditors receive training that will enable them to perform their duties in a knowledgeable and professional manner,” said Turk Loydu Executive Gokhan Dedeoglu in a statement. “SeaSecure is recognized as the world leader in maritime security and was selected to provide this critical service to Turk Loydu. SeaSecure’s reputation for professional service is well deserved and we greatly benefited from their exceptional training. We look forward to future opportunities to work together.”

SeaSecure has long provided maritime security training to governments and maritime organizations, including the US Coast Guard, US Navy, the Department of Homeland Security, the Transportation Security Administration, as well as the governments of countries such as China.

“Turkey and Turk Loydu have a long-standing commitment to maritime security and SeaSecure is very proud to have been selected to provide this comprehensive and important training,” said Kim Petersen, SeaSecure’s President. “We look forward to working with Turk Loydu’s team of professionals in the future as they tackle the compliance process mandated by the ISPS Code.”

I have to write a speech about why expenditure on national security is important.
I am having trouble finding sites that give me information on what our government actually spends on Nat’l Sec.
What are your opinions on national security? Should we be funding such a thing that ultimately kills people, or does it better our nation? that is the question.

you won’t find that info because the government hides the fact that they broke the banks on iraq and ‘national security’ resources like illegal wire taps and arsenals of weponry for the desert battle they plan to fight and fund for the next few decades.

A Republic, If You Can Keep It – The American Form of Government

There is a reason we refer to “the rule of law and not of men” when discussing the American political system. It is because a republican form of government seeks to restrain the unbridled and quixotic passions of pure democracy, rather than yield to them. It also rejects the desire of the majority in favor of individual rights. Democracy seeks to assert the right of the group, but so does a mob with a hangman’s noose. There’s also a reason why lady justice is blindfolded: She is not to see the individuals, interest groups, race, or any characteristic at all of those that plead before her–her proper concern is not directed towards them; her care is to decide the law. It’s also why the question of justice as presented before judges is not one of mercy (that belongs in the will of the people as expressed through their representatives in law), but one of exacting only what the law requires be exacted. The rule of law is all about the removal of arbitrary will from its application. A judge who seeks to apply his own notions of justice and mercy (as opposed to those notions being defined by the people through law) is a judge who seeks to impose arbitrary will in opposition to the rule of law. And it is arbitrary will that is the very definition of tyranny.
