Does the freedom of information act only apply to federal government? Or does it also apply to state and local? Try to cite your information if you give me an answer. Because I asked this question before. And I got different answers……
I want to know any social or political movement/dissent that were made prior to the Freedom of Information Act, in order for the government to form the Freedom of Information Act.

I’m trying to get some citizenship issues resolved for myself and filed a Freedom of information Act request. I filed in August of 2005 and have yet to recieve a response. All the information pertains to my personal records. Anyone know how long this process should take? Thanks
