KINGSTON CITY HALL VIDEO SURVEILLANCE CITIZEN “POP-IN” TEST

MISSISSAUGA WATCH Blog: www.mississaugablogs.com BOTTOMLINE: KINGSTON CITY HALL PASSES initial test! We confess we fell in love with Kingston City Hall. Felt such reverance. It is the only city hall we’ve visited where CANADA happens. CANADA lives and breathes inside Kingston city hall. Every Canadian should go –ask for Herb as your tour guide. Back to the task at hand. MISSISSAUGAWATCH is currently investigating the security practices of several Ontario municipalities and one Out-of-Province” for comparative purposes to those of Mississauga Corporate (City) Security. On May 20, 2008, the husband/wife MISSISSAUGAWATCH team visited Kingston City Hall to conduct a quick’n easy test on their video surveillance compliance practices. Regarding the Ontario city hall video surveillance test, we just answer this question. Is there VIDEO SURVEILLANCE signage posted in underground parking and doors of [the subject] city hall? YES. NO. If NO, then we looked around to see if there were VIDEO SURVEILLANCE cameras around. If there are. then the subject city hall is in VIOLATION of the 2001 “Guidelines for Using Video Surveillance Cameras in Public Places”. We’d then be justified in wondering what other guidelines and legislation are also being violated by [the subject] city hall. WARNING: Do not try this citizen-test yourself. Ontario municipalities can be shameless bullies only too happy to ban you from their Corporate Property. Things could even go worse –arrest. A simple test that

14th Amendment Citizenship: Citizen or citizen?

Prior to the alleged ratification of the 14th Amendment, there was no legal definition of a “citizen of the United States”, as everyone had primary citizenship in one of the several states. The Constitution referred to the sovereign state citizen, and no one else. Those who went to Washington, DC or outside the several states were commonly called “citizens of the United States.” In the Constitution for the United States, the term was used to identify state citizens who were eligible under the suffrage laws to hold office, and they were required under the Constitution to have primary allegiance to one of the several states. Since that term was not specifically defined in the US Constitution, Congress in 1868 took advantage of this term and utilized it in the so-called 14th Amendment to describe a NEW type of “citizen” whose primary allegiance was to the federal government, ie Washington, DC and not to one of the several states of the union. Thus, using the term as used in the US Constitution to mislead and confuse the people as to the true intent and meaning of the Constitution. Many people have mistaken the citizen as denominated in the 14th Amendment to mean the same one in the original constitution, this is in error. The “citizen of the united states” as used in the constitution is not the same as the citizen of the United States used after the 14th Amendment. So all the elected officials are NOT sitting in the office constitutionally, they are merely impostors created

Citizen or Sovereign aka People rights

Only the Sovereign (People) as defined in the Preamble can claim the rights as described in the Bill of Rights. Citizen’s are under the jurisdiction of the United States, thus have no rights under the US constitution. The People are sovereign not the citizens. Eric Whoru explains it in this call.

US Citizenship- Duties You Have As An American Citizen

US citizenship is one of the most coveted citizenships in the world. The United States provides an atmosphere in which the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness becomes possible. It is this endeavor that has created one of the biggest industrial nations in the world. Also they are guaranteed minimum standard of living via social security and healthcare. However these rights are not free, they come with responsibilities attached. It is one of the fundamental principles of civics that “rights and duties are two sides of the same coin”. The duties that need to be followed on obtaining US citizenship have been listed below.

Pay Taxes: Under the Internal Revenue Service code, all US citizens are required to pay taxes on all of their income including income which has been earned abroad. Taxes are the fundamental source of revenue of the country and are the fuel for systems like social security, healthcare etc. There are however some exceptions under which certain incomes whether generated internally or abroad are exempt from taxation. However it is a pre condition of the US citizenship to pay taxes as imposed by authorities from time to time.

Register with The Armed Forces: Every male US citizen is required to register with the Armed forces on completion of 18 years of age. They may be required to fight for the United States if need be. This has never been the case since the Vietnam war but the US still requires all males to register themselves for a possible summon at some future date.

Obey the Laws: All United States citizens are supposed to respect and obey the law which has been created by their own representatives. Thus they are expected to co-operate with all law enforcement agencies such as police, secret services and the judiciary system. This is the pillar on which the secure system provided by the United States rests.

Vote and Elect Responsible leaders: Passing the US citizenship application also entails the responsibility to vote and elect suitable representatives that may hold office and take decisions on your behalf.

Although the list of responsibilities may be much more than the ones mentioned above but these broadly give a fair idea of what it is like to be a US citizen. The costs are not too high to pay given the opportunity and freedom that a US citizenship provides. The fact that millions apply each year for a US citizenship should tell you volumes about how better the system really is compared to other countries.

As the Pope pointed out in his remarks, this is the first time he has received members of the institution since the promulgation of its “Lex propria”, which he signed in 2008 and thanks to which it can periodically celebrate a plenary “Congregatio” for “the promotion of the correct administration of justice in the Church. “The function of this tribunal is not, in fact limited to exercising supreme judicial authority”, Benedict XVI added, “but it also has an executive role in overseeing the correct administration of justice within the ecclesial body. … This activity must be co-ordinated and patient, aimed above all at supplying the faithful with a correct, prompt and efficient administration of justice, as I myself requested, regarding cases of nullification of marriage, in the Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhortation ‘Sacramentum caritatis'”. The Holy Father went on then to explain how, in that Apostolic Exhortation, he had also “referred to the Instruction ‘Dignitas connubii’, which gives moderators and ministers of the tribunal, in the form of a handbook, the norms they need to ensure that causes for

Whistleblower and Former US Citizen Elated to be Free at Last

Christchurch, New Zealand (PRWEB) March 9, 2005

Harmon Wilfred, exiled former US citizen and whistleblower, renounced his US citizenship with what he says is an “unbelievable sense of freedom” and is looking forward to his future as a citizen of the world community. The businessman, who has lived in New Zealand since August 2001, made an oath of renunciation before the US Consulate General in Auckland, on March 1, 2005.

A statement of renunciation of US citizenship is permanent and irreversible.

Wilfred will be temporarily “stateless” while he and his Canadian wife, Carolyn, are being considered for NZ residency. Born in the US State of Kentucky and raised in Ohio, he is an honorably discharged veteran of the Vietnam era and spent over 20 years of his business life in Colorado before moving on to Canada in 1998, and then to New Zealand in 2001.

He says he feels a tremendous sense of relief to be completely disassociated from the United States Government. “I feel genuinely free for the first time in decades. I am no longer associated with the Patriot Act, Department of Homeland Security, the illegal invasion of Iraq, the unlawful detention and torture of innocent people by the US military and the CIA, and all other US violations of human rights, either within its borders or around the world.”

During his 40 minute meeting with the US Consulate General in Auckland, Wilfred was advised against being “prejudiced towards a short term position” and cautioned about the long term seriousness of his actions.

Wilfred says his view is anything but short term. “The recent actions of the US Government and my own long term experience of egregious judicial and political abuses have permanently undermined my respect for America.” See www.harmonwilfred.com for more information about Mr. Wilfred’s whistleblower activities and legal actions.

“During my conversation with the Consul it became clear that my renunciation is not an isolated case, even in a small country like New Zealand. It also challenged the view that Americans who have renounced their citizenship since the start of the Iraq war are either young activists or political crazies. It was stated that most are mature, educated and responsible members of the world community.”

Since arriving in New Zealand, Wilfred has been involved in the development of wireless data transmission, Broadband Powerline Communication (BPL) and Internet Telephony. He also oversees the development of humanitarian projects on behalf of his wife’s estate under the La Famia Foundation and is currently working with several charitable trusts to trial his newly proposed family/community support initiative in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Wilfred says, “Contrary to US Government persuasion … there is life after US citizenship.”
